Sugerless Chia
Serves 2
100g chia
170g Oatly milk
1 date
Half an apple
1 tsp maca powder
1 tsp ashwaganda powder
Turmeric
Black pepper
Splash of water (if needed)
-
1 tbsp Oatly cream
1 tbsp honey (optional)
This is so creamy and delicious. It has an almost savoury tone so perfect in the morning with a coffee and the radio. I use a medjool date as they’re succulent and big, if you can’t get hold of these as they are quite expense then use normal dates, just double the amount. The super powders are optional, use whatever ones you have in the cupboard.
I like Ashwaganda as it is an adaptogen. It helps the body deal with stress whilst a few of the benefits of Maca include increased libido and an increase in fertility. All in one morning's Chia.
Soak the chia in the Oatly milk for 10 minutes to bloom giving it a good stir to loosen the seeds.
Add the date, the apple, the superfood powders, turmeric and black pepper. Blitz until smooth, about 20 seconds, loosen with a splash of Oatly milk or water if needed.
Serve with a dollop of Oatly cream and some local honey if you want the sweetness.
