My favourite Green Juice
Serves 4
Perfect for an early morning cleanse. If you want to have this as your breakfast, add half an avocado or banana to make it more substantial. It is full of antioxidants, super nutritious, anti-inflammatory, heightens sexual performance, increases libido, reduces stress.. just to name a few. Always use organic fruit and vegetables when making juices and smoothies, and make sure you get a coconut water with no added sugar. I use a Vitamix as it really blends everything and makes a rich and creamy juice, if you are using a Nutri-Bullet you can always strain it if you want a smoother consistency. If you are pregnant or currently breastfeeding, substitute the ashwagandha with another superfood or leave it out altogether.
2 big handfuls organic spinach
10 mint leaves
1/2 a ripe peach
Juice of half a grapefruit
400ml coconut water
1 tsp ashwagandha powder
1 tsp maca powder
1 tsp moringa powder
Big squeeze of lime
1 tsp agave (optional)
4 cubes of ice
Throughly wash the spinach and mint leaves and add to the blender along with everything else. Blitz on high for about 20 seconds, then stop and check the consistency, blend again for another 20 seconds and check again. You don’t want to do anything longer than 20 seconds as the motor will heat the juice up you will lose the nutrients.
Check the flavour and add some more lime juice or sweetener if you prefer. Drink immediately over ice.
